HeadBox VenueGuessr
A vibe-coded lead generation game built in a day
VenueGuessr started as a way to showcase HeadBox's virtual venue tour product without asking prospects to sit through another demo.
Inspired by GeoGuessr, I built a game using over 100 real venue tours from the HeadBox inventory. Players were dropped into a venue and challenged to work out where they were based on the virtual tour. What looked like a simple game was actually a product demo disguised as an engaging experience.
Built entirely using AI-assisted tools including Base44, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot and Codex, the project went from idea to launch in a single day without any engineering, product or design support.
The game was connected directly to HubSpot, allowing venue owners to submit their details and instantly become qualified leads for the sales team. Within the first 24 hours, the tool generated more than 150 plays and over 40 venue leads, delivering a conversion rate of roughly 26%.
The biggest lesson was that people are far more willing to experience a product than be sold one. By turning our existing virtual tour inventory into a game, prospects spent several minutes interacting with the technology while naturally understanding its value.
Following the success of the online version, VenueGuessr has since evolved into a touchscreen experience for Business Travel Show Europe 2026, where it will be used to attract attendees, increase booth engagement and capture leads at scale.
What started as a growth experiment became a repeatable lead generation asset that demonstrated how quickly AI-powered development can turn existing business assets into products.
